  19. The first wave of address flushing is complete.  My main concentration were
  20. addresses where the host name was unknown.  Those address where I just
  21. couldn't verify the hostname were removed.  Other addresses where domain and
  22. host name needed changing were changed (and you should have seen a "Welcome"
  23. message if your address was affected).  I'll continue to be doing this more
  24. often in an effort to help systems out there that have to pass these bounces
  25. around.

  31. This message is to serve as a reminder that this mailing list is oriented
  32. towards topics on Lightwave.  Messages really meant as private e-mail
  33. should be directed to that person's internet address rather than the list.
  34. Also, please use proper netiquette.  Not everyone enjoys messages that
  35. have previous messages quoted verbatim.  Not everyone has 132 column
  36. terminals.  Please don't feel there's too many restrictions though.  This
  37. mailing list is meant for exchange of information.

  39. Also keep in mind that your replies go directly to the author of the message
  40. you are replying to.  If you wish to have the reply directed to the mailing
  41. list, you should use your e-mail software to change the address that the
  42. message is going to rather than adding the mailing list in the cc: field
  43. (carbon copy).  By including it in the cc: field, the author of the message
  44. that you are replying to will get TWO copies of the message.

  67. comp.graphics.packages.lightwave.  Currently, this newsgroup's messages
  68. aren't being archived in an automatic way (if you are archiving them
  69. automatically, please let me know!).  Hopefully, I'll have a newsgroup
  70. gateway into the mailing list so those on the mailing list that don't
  71. have access to Usenet can participate in the newsgroup.

  120. that contains a growing number of Lightwave oriented files (objects,

  129. Looking for even more 3D Objects?  avalon.chinalake.navy.mil has a large
  130. collection of 3D objects in various file formats.  Lightwave can directly
  131. import some of them while others may need converting first via third
  132. party object conversion programs like InterChange Plus and Pixel3D Pro.
